This project involved the fitout of a new 4 storey precast wall and floor structure. The facility was designed to accommodate the mental health section of the Waitemata district health board and included for the two lower floors to be clinical interview rooms with open plan meeting areas, and the top floor open to accommodate the ancillary staff of the division. The services were installed in combination with the base build to reduce the cost and construction time. This included for a nurse duress system on all floors and access control to all doors. The partitions included for full height glazed panels to all clinical rooms and a proprietary system was used throughout. The programme for this contract was very tight and we progressed the works by dividing the work areas so that multiple contractors could complete their scope of works together.
